Trumbull Co. had two issues in tornado drill testing Wednesday

During Wednesday morning's testing of tornado sirens around the Valley, one siren in Howland Township failed to sound, and another siren in the city of Warren sounded but wouldn't shut off.
Trumbull County Emergency Management Agency Director John Hickey told 21 News that Howland Township's one siren failed today, and the township is working to find out what happened.
Hickey also said that one siren in Warren went off as it should, but officials couldn't get it to stop sounding.
Both issues are being addressed. These were the only known issues in the county.
The Ohio Emergency Management Agency (EMA) held a statewide tornado drill Wednesday at 9:50 a.m. around the state for Severe Weather Awareness Week. During this time, Ohio counties sound and test their outdoor warning sirens and mass notification systems.
21 News contacted Mahoning County EMA to see if there were any reported issues, but as of the publication of this story, it has not heard back.
Columbiana County EMA said their department does not oversee warning signals in the county and that each community handles its own sirens.
