Ohio Attorney General sues Boardman-based luxury furniture store for allegedly defrauding customers

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost is suing a Boardman-based luxury furniture retailer for allegedly defrauding customers out of money.
Yost is suing Burke Decor, a Boardman-based retailer specializing in luxury home decor after more than 350 customers reported paying for furniture that never arrived.
According to a press release, estimated losses exceed $380,000.
The AG's Office launched an investigation into the business back in 2024 after receiving a growing number of complaints regarding furniture not being delivered in a timely manner or at all, as well as difficulty obtaining refunds.
According to the release, Burke Decor initially cooperated in resolving customer disputes, but 256 disputes still remain unresolved.
"Consumers paid for high-end furnishings, but ended up with only frustration. My office gave this company the opportunity to make this right, but empty promises don't fill homes, Yost said.
The company has brick-and-mortar locations in Boardman and Los Angeles, California, as well as an outlet in Youngstown and an online store. The company has an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau.
We've reached out to Burke Decor about this lawsuit and we're waiting to hear back.
