The Trumbull County Grand Jury declined to indict a Warren couple arrested following an alleged physical altercation, according to officials.

The grand jury issued "no bills" Wednesday in the cases of Jesse Holbrook, 42, and Jessica Holbrook, 43. Both had been charged with domestic violence in a lower court. Jessica Holbrook also faced a charge of felonious assault.

According to a police report, officers responded to a home in the 1200 block of Woodland Street NE after a resident walking a dog reported seeing a woman ramming a truck with a car.

Officers spoke with the couple's daughter, who said her parents had been fighting.

Police say a Chevrolet Cobalt had rammed the rear of a truck. The windows of both vehicles were shattered.

Officers also saw blood in the snow, on the garage floor, and the truck's driver-side door. A hammer was found on the garage floor, and police noted holes in the truck's windshield consistent with hammer strikes.

Inside the home, police found the kitchen in disarray, with items scattered throughout and a chair broken into pieces.

Jesse Holbrook was found lying on the bathroom floor, unable to move, and Jessica Holbrook was found hiding in an upstairs closet.

Police said Jessica Holbrook told officers that her husband had "beat the s**t out of her."

Jesse Holbrook was transported to a hospital, where he told officers he had returned home from a bar when his wife rammed her car into his truck, pushing it into the garage door.

He got into his truck, telling police he tried to prevent it from being pushed further into the garage and damaging his motorcycles.

Holbrook said his wife got a hammer from the garage and began breaking windows. He said the next thing he remembered was waking up on the bathroom floor.
