Students at Boardman Center Intermediate School have revived the art of crocheting and knitting, creating a new club that quickly gained popularity.

What began with just four students has grown into a class with over 30 students, all eager to learn more about the creative skill of crocheting and knitting.

The benefits of the club go beyond just learning a new skill. Students are developing strong social connections, with kids of all ages collaborating and helping each other in a calm and focused environment.

The students goal is to donate their creations, like stuffed animals, to Akron Children's Hospital, spreading joy to those in need.

The school is inviting community members to volunteer and share their knowledge of crocheting and knitting. If you're interested in helping these students, please reach out to Boardman Center Intermediate School at (330) 726-3400.
