More mild air as we say hello to spring
After a 30-degree drop in high temperatures from Sunday to Monday, Tuesday afternoon's high temperature will be on the upswing.
Tuesday remains sunny with high temperatures peaking in the low 60s. A few more clouds will drift in overnight with low temperatures, not as cold, in the mid-40s.
Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week, with high temperatures returning to the 70s. Wednesday will be breezy too, with winds gusting from 30 to 35 mph throughout the afternoon and evening. Clouds will continue to build in after sunset and showers look to become widespread after midnight.
Thursday will kick off the Spring season on an active note.
Showers will stay widely scattered for the morning commute, with isolated showers entertaining us until temperatures drop enough for light snow to form later in the day. Temperatures will be the warmest around sunrise in the low 50s before falling all day. Thursday will be windy too, with winds gusting between 30 and 35 mph.
Thursday also kicks off the Astronomical Spring season at 5:01 am. Also known as the Vernal Equinox, the day features just over 12 hours of daylight (twelve hours and eight minutes to be exact) and occurs when the center of the sun is lined up above the equator.
Friday will turn sunny, but temperatures will be more seasonable in the upper 40s. Saturday's temperatures will be equally as seasonable with showers around in the morning and tapering off throughout the second half of the day.
After a batch of showers on Saturday, rain returns Sunday night into Monday.
Temperatures look to be on the seasonable side and even below the average as we wrap up the month of March.
