Nestlé USA is voluntarily recalling some Lean Cuisine and Stouffer's frozen meals due to the potential presence of wood-like material, the company announced Monday.

The recall affects specific batches of Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry, and Stouffer's Party Size Chicken Lasagna (96oz). The affected products were produced between August 2024 and March 2025 and distributed at major U.S. retailers from September 2024 to March 2025.

Nestlé said the recall was initiated after consumers reported finding the foreign material, including one report of a potential choking incident.

The specific batch codes and corresponding best-before dates for the recalled products are:

Lean Cuisine Butternut Squash Ravioli: Batch numbers 4261595912 (best before OCT2025), 4283595912 (NOV2025), 4356595912 (JAN2026), 5018595912 (FEB2026), and 5038595912 (MAR2026).

Anyone who purchased the recalled meals should not prepare or eat them but return the products to the retailer for a replacement or a full refund.

Nestlé says it is investigating the source of the foreign material and said it believes the issue is isolated. The company is working with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. Department of Agriculture on the recall.
