Trumbull Co. announces nearly $11.3 million in road projects
The Trumbull County Engineer's Office has announced the 2025 road projects for the county, which will include resurfacing, bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects totaling $11.29 million.

The Trumbull County Engineer's Office has announced the 2025 road projects for the county, which will include resurfacing, bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects totaling $11.29 million.
- Resurfacing of County Line and West Webb Road, improvements to 2.25 miles of County Line Road from State Route 46 to Four Mile Run Road, and West Webb Road from Depot Street to Mahoning County Line. The projects will also include drainage improvements, widening, and milling. Repairs and resurfacing in Weathersfield/Austintown townships. The project start date was March 6, and the estimated cost is $1,081,500. The funding source is Federal/Ohio Public Works Commission.
- York Street Bridge Superstructure Replacement: replacing superstructure and reusing existing substructure. It will have a new galvanized single-span steel beam superstructure and railing with a corrugated metal deck. Estimated cost: $191,000 funded through Bridge Funding Program and start date of March 14.
- Hewitt Gifford Road Bridge in Lordstown Superstructure replacement: replacing superstructure and reusing existing substructure. It will have a new galvanized single-span steel beam superstructure and railing with a corrugated metal deck. Estimated cost: $252,00 funded through the Bridge Funding Program and start date of March 14.
- Belmont Avenue sidewalks Phase 2: 1,400 feet of new sidewalk on the west side of Belmont Avenue, starting at State Route 304, and north to Churchill Commons. Estimated cost: $140,000, funded through federal and local funds. The estimated start date is May.
- Austintown Warren Road Ohltown Viaduct Bridge rehabilitation: Rehab of 395 feet of concrete span over the Mahoning River. Work will include fascia cleaning of rusted reinforcement and patch repairs; remove and replace asphalt surface. Estimated cost: $3,944,000, paid with local and federal funds. Set to start in May.
- South Main Street Bridge Rehab: Rehabilitation of 395 feet of decking for Warren bridge, fascia cleaning of rusted reinforcement and patch repairs; remove and replace asphalt surface. Estimated cost: $2,275,562, paid with local and federal funds. Set to start in May.
- King Graves Road resurfacing: Scheduled to begin in July, cost of $945,000.
- Barclay Messerly Road Replacement: Replacement of single-span truss bridge with concrete box beam superstructure. Estimated cost: $1,361,244, funded by federal funds.
- Warren Sharon Road resurfacing, between State Route 11 and Ridge Road in Vienna Township and Jacobs Road in Hubbard Township. Start date of April, estimated cost is $775,000.
- Newton Bridge rehab on Selkirk Bush Road and Greene Bridge superstructure rehab on Wakefield Creek Road. Project will begin in April, and cost $325,000.
- Herner South Road Culvert replacement. In Southington, start date TBD. Work will be done by county for replacement of 46 in x 68 in pipe.
