It's time for the "wearin o' the green" as the Valley observes St. Patrick's Day.  Here are the local events and celebrations.

March 17

Youngstown - Saint Patrick's Day Party at Penguin City Brewing Company: Penguin City Brewing Company at 460 East Federal Street will be hosting a variety of events on St. Patrick's Day - all with special hours from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Doors open at 9 a.m. with a cover of $5. The event includes:

  • BYOB Kegs & Eggs at 9 a.m.
  • County Mayo Irish Band from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Burke School of Dance at noon
  • Steel Valley Pipes & Drums at 4:30 p.m.
  • Kravitz serving from 11 a.m. until they are sold out

The brewery will also have Irish Red Ale on tap throughout the weekend, along with fun giveaways.

Youngstown - Westside Bowl: Westside Bowl in Youngstown at 2617 Mahoning Avenue will be playing host to a few bands to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Dolan Family Singers will be performing. Burke School of Irish Dance will follow from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. A DJ will continue the evening beginning at 6 p.m. It will be free to see the performance.

Youngstown - Crickets Bar and Grille ShamRock the Block: Cricket's Bar and Grille at 1733 East Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown will be closing out its festivities with the last day of events. The day begins at 9 a.m. with Kegs and Eggs. Corned beef and Reuben sales will begin at 11 a.m. Bands will be performing on the patio, including The Irish Brigadiers from noon to 2 p.m., Wicked Season from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and AVA performing from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. There is no cover charge to this event, and additional parking is located at Habitat for Humanity, 1919 East Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown.

Boardman - Magic Tree Pub & Eatery St. Patrick's Day Celebration: The Magic Tree Pub & Eatery at 7462 South Avenue in Boardman will be celebrating Saint Patrick's Day early, beginning at 9 a.m. with Kegs & Eggs inside the restaurant until 11 a.m. At 10 a.m., the outdoor tent opens, with the Burke School of Irish Dance kicking off performances in the tent until 11 a.m. Silver Springs - A Fleetwood Mac Experience will follow from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Old Skool will perform in the tent from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Dueling Pianos is set to perform from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fast Freddie will be performing inside the restaurant from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. A food truck will be available outside the restaurant. Inside the restaurant, an Irish Specials menu is being offered all day.

Sharon, PA - St. Patrick's Day at The Block: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food and drink specials are advertised. The Z-Town Street Band will be performing at The Block, 23 Chestnut Avenue, Sharon, from noon to 2 p.m. 

Columbiana - St. Patrick's Day 2025: The taproom at Birdfish Brewing Company at 140 East Park Avenue will be open for regular hours from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The entertainment schedule for this day of festivities includes Steel Valley Pipes & Drums at 5:30 p.m. and Burke School of Irish Dance from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The food truck featured is Frytanic Food Truck serving from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Austintown - Frenchy's Irish Pub and Grill St. Patrick's Day Weekend Party: The festivities for Frenchy's Irish Pub and Grill at in Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Avenue, Youngstown continues with a big day of events, including:

  • An opening event at 5:30 a.m. of Kegs and Eggs
  • DJ RM Beats performing
  • RDNA performing at noon in the outdoor heated tent
  • 80's Proof performing at 3:30 p.m. in the outdoor heated tent
  • Old Skool performing at 7 p.m. in the outdoor heated tent
