Traffic was diverted along Interstate 80 in Weathersfield Township for a second time Sunday after wires fell along the freeway.

According to officials, traffic was diverted onto Salt Springs Road for the time being as crews worked at around 9 p.m.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Post says that the wires were removed by 10:30 p.m.

Multiple units were on scene to help direct the traffic off of I-80 onto Salt Springs Road.

The first incident of wires down in the same area occurred around 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, according to a Facebook post from Weathersfield Fire Department.

Crews were cleared from the 2 p.m. call of wires down a few hours later.
