New Bethel Baptist Church hosts foreign missions convention

Local clergy joined together at a luncheon at New Bethel Baptist Church to engage other pastors and church leaders around the Mahoning Valley in the "Lott Carey" foreign missions convention.
In collaboration with Second Baptist Church, it's an effort to inform these leaders of the work that's being done in the United States and around the world in places like Jamaica, Haiti, Guyana and India.
"We've built schools, dug wells, protective facilities, a lot of anti-human trafficking work is going on right now through Lott Carey here in the United States and around the globe," said Todd Johnson, Second Baptist Church Pastor.
It's also a way to get the leaders and the community involved in fundraising for similar organizations across the world that need access to essential supplies.
