New Castle Public Library receives $405k for renovations

Pennsylvania Representative Marla Brown announced that New Castle Public Library has been awarded $405,000 through the Pennsylvania Department of Education and Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund to renovate the building's facilities.
"Public libraries are the heart of our communities, and I'm pleased to see New Castle Public Library receive this much-needed funding," said Brown. "This investment will not only make the library more energy efficient but will also ensure it continues to serve as a critical resource for all Lawrence County residents."
New Castle Public Library will be using the money specifically to replace the failing heating and air conditioning system with energy-efficient components.
The Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund covers up to 50% of the eligible costs for planning, construction and rehabilitation projects at public libraries in Pennsylvania.
