Two YSU students win top honors at regional music competitions, advance to higher levels

Two students in Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music have earned top honors in regional competitions and will be advancing to the higher levels in their respective competitions.
Erika Walker claimed first place in her category at the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) Great Lakes Regional Audition. She is a master of music in vocal performance student.
Laura Bowden, a student going for her bachelor's in music performance was selected as one of three individuals in her division to be headed to the final round of the collegiate division at the Central Ohio Flute Association Competition held at The Ohio State University.
Both YSU competitors will be accompanied in their deeper competition run by school faculty and peers.
