High temperatures have not reached 70 degrees since early November, but that streak will come to an end today. After a cooler start to the morning, temperatures will ramp up into the low 70s this afternoon, with some more sunshine.

Sunshine will be a bit more filtered at times, though, as some higher cirrus clouds move overhead. Clouds will start to thicken up overnight as our next storm system moves through the center of the country.

Temperatures will again near 70 degrees on Saturday, but there will be raindrops around at times. A band of showers will move through the region Saturday morning, with more isolated rain during the afternoon. Any storms that can get going during the afternoon and evening could be stronger in nature, but rain chances will generally be lower during that time.

More widespread showers will move back in Saturday night into early Sunday with gusty winds. Showers will start to come to an end Sunday afternoon with high temperatures in the mid-60s.

Seasonable air will move back in for St. Patrick's Day on Monday with increasing sunshine. Milder air will return to the valley for Tuesday and Wednesday with mostly to partly sunny skies.
