A Niles man has learned his fate after pleading guilty to several child pornography charges.

Thirty-nine-year-old Andrew Russo pled guilty to six counts of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor, as well as one count each of receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of property involved in computer hacking and illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material.

Russo was sentenced to two to three years in prison on these charges. He must also register as a Tier 2 sex offender twice a year for the next 25 years.

During the sentencing, the victim gave an impact statement detailing how she was emotionally affected by Russo's actions.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, Russo was charged after the Niles Police Department received a tip from a cyber abuse task force and Russo's electronic devices were searched.

Police found that thousands of photos of a woman including several from when she was a child and several intimate photos were hacked from her iCloud account. Prosecutors say Russo had altered one of the photos.
