18-year-old arrested after police chase through Boardman, Poland ends in crash

An 18-year-old has been arrested on a warrant in connection with a police chase that led officers through Boardman and Poland and ended in a crash back in February.
According to a police report from Boardman PD, the chase happened February 26 when an officer attempted to pull over a vehicle near the intersection of Market Street and McClurg Road that did not have its headlights turned on. Police say the vehicle did not stop and the chase began.
Police say the chase reached speeds up to 60 miles per hour with the vehicle using the center turn lane to pass vehicles.
According to the report, the chase led officers all the way to SR-170 in Poland where the vehicle crashed into a stopped pickup truck. From there, police say the driver, later identified as 18-year-old Henry Wright of Girard, got out of the vehicle and ran away.
The report does not mention any injuries to the driver of the pickup truck.
Police say they were not able to catch Wright, but did find a cell phone left behind in the vehicle, as well as an ID card connected to him.
It wasn't until Monday, March 10 that Wright was found and arrested on a warrant. Court records show he is charged with one count of failure to comply with the signal or order of a police officer.
Wright is scheduled to appear in court March 18.
