Wean Foundation collecting period products throughout the month of March

March is Women's History Month and the Raymond John Wean Foundation is honoring that history by hosting a period product drive throughout the month of March.
According to a press release, nearly one in every four U.S. students cannot afford period products such as tampons, pads and liners, which could contribute to missed school days.
The Wean Foundation is helping with that issue by inviting members of the community to drop off these products in their original packaging at the Foundation's office at 147 West Market Street in Downtown Warren.
Collection bins can be found in the main lobby, which is open Tuesday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
All items collected will be distributed to Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, as well as Chaney High School in Youngstown and to Wean Foundation grantee partner Inspiring Minds and will be provided to those who need them.
"From elevating the works of historic women to shopping at women-owned businesses, there is so much one can do to honor Women's History Month. This drive is our way of honoring Women's History Month and supporting menstruating individuals in our community," said Wean Foundation President Jennifer Roller.
