Friends of the Mahoning River will once again host Riverfest, a community event focused on the Mahoning River, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Packard Park, 1703 Mahoning Ave NW, Warren.

The free, family-friendly event will feature vendors and exhibits from local businesses, artisans and environmental organizations. Live music, food trucks and a kayak race are planned. Hands-on activities and educational demonstrations about conservation and the river’s ecosystem will also be offered.

"We are thrilled to bring the community together for another Riverfest to celebrate the Mahoning River and the ongoing efforts to restore and protect this vital waterway," said Gavin Switzer, Chair of Friends of the Mahoning River. "This event is a wonderful way to connect with nature, engage with local organizations, and support businesses that share our commitment to conservation."

Vendor registration is $30 for businesses. Nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies and non-governmental organizations can participate at no cost. Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
