A 30-year-old man was killed in a shooting early Monday in the parking lot of a Youngstown bar, police said.

Deandre Stores was found with multiple gunshot wounds at Vibez Bar, 914 E. Midlothian Blvd., after officers responded to a report of a shooting around 2:20 a.m., according to the Youngstown Police Department.

Officers arrived to find hundreds of people in the parking lot and surrounding area. Emergency medical technicians attempted life-saving measures, but Stores died at the scene, police said.

Due to the large and unruly crowd, officers from Boardman and Campbell police departments, among others, were called to assist.

The Youngstown Police Detective Division, Crime Scene Unit and Mahoning County Coroner's Office responded to begin an investigation.

Police said the investigation is in its early stages, and detectives believe many people who were at the bar or with Stores that evening may have witnessed the shooting.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Youngstown police detectives.
