Road work is expected to begin near Guilford Lake in Columbiana County in the coming weeks.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT), work is scheduled to begin Monday, March 10 on a culvert replacement project on SR-172 near Guilford Lake.

Traffic will be maintained by flaggers at the beginning of the project, but the road will close for 21 days beginning Monday, April 21. During the road closure, the detour route will be SR-9 South to U.S. Route 30 East and reverse. 

The project is expected to be completed by Halloween of 2025.
