Howland's Weems heading to Hiram College for volleyball, track & field

Howland senior Angelina Weems has signed her celebratory letter to Hiram College, where she will continue competing in volleyball and track & field at the collegiate level. A dynamic two-sport athlete, Weems has made a lasting impact on both programs with her versatility and leadership.
A three-year letter winner in volleyball, Weems was an all-conference selection and earned honorable mention all-district honors. Her ability to play multiple positions and her explosiveness on the court have played a pivotal role in Howland’s success.
Head Volleyball Coach Amanda Florek described Weems as a competitor who "leads by example and is a positive role model to younger athletes." She noted that her "steadfast presence in the gym exemplifies her drive to improve, learn, and compete," making her well-prepared for the next level.
In addition to her volleyball achievements, Weems is a two-year letter winner in track & field, where she has proven to be both a standout performer and an inspiring leader.
Head Track & Field Coach Logan Sheptock praised her "unparalleled work ethic", stating that she approaches every practice with dedication and determination, always pushing herself and motivating her teammates.
