Appeal denied for man convicted of repeatedly shooting victim in Warren

The appeal of a man who was convicted of repeatedly shooting a man in Warren has been denied.
According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, 42-year-old Danny Isom Jr. is currently serving a prison sentence of 11 to 15 years for shooting Eddie Pierce multiple times on Hazelwood Street back in August of 2023.
Isom had appealed this conviction claiming that the court allowed improper evidence to be admitted, that he received ineffective assistance of counsel, that his conviction was no supported by sufficient evidence and was against the manifest weight of the evidence and that the state committed prosecutorial misconduct during cross examination.
However, all of these claims were found to be without merit with the court ultimately upholding Isom's conviction.
Isom will continue to serve his sentence at Noble Correction Institution.
