Campbell Police arrested a mother of four on Saturday on four counts of endangering children on Saturday.

According to the report, 32-year-old Myisha Mukaabya called Campbell police around noon urging them to come to her house without elaborating on the reason for the call.

When police got to her house Mukaabya told them that her 15-year-old son had run away. She began to exhibit incoherent speech as she continuously asked her 14-year-old daughter if "Mommy was a good mommy."

Police noted in the report that soon after they arrived and began talking to Mukaabya they noticed that she smelled of alcohol. When they asked her if she was drunk she denied it before admitting she drank beer.

The report states that when Mukaabya was telling the police what had happened she said that her son ran away after coming home from school despite it being around noon on a weekend.

As Mukaabya was talking to officers they noticed that her 14-year-old daughter was getting visibly distressed and was trying to communicate with police. The report then says the police pulled her daughter aside to speak with her.

According to the report, the daughter said that Mukaabya left the house at 6 a.m. and came back at noon heavily intoxicated.

Mukaabya had also allegedly locked the food meant for her 2-year-old daughter inside her bedroom before she left, leaving the toddler without food for six hours.

The report then goes on to state that police placed Mukaabya in handcuffs and took her to the Campbell Police Department after hearing from her daughter.

Mukaabya is scheduled to appear in Campbell Municipal Court on Tuesday, February 25 at 9 a.m.
