Jury finds second suspect in deadly Warren shooting guilty on all counts

A jury has reached a verdict on Friday in the case of the second man charged in connection with a deadly shooting in Warren.
Tyree Brown, 29, has been found guilty of all charges against him including aggravated murder and burglary. He is set to be sentenced Tuesday, February 25 and could face a maximum sentence of life in prison without the chance of parole according to the prosecution.
The charges are in connection with the death of 29-year-old Kardell Lowery who was shot several times at a Fifth Street SW apartment on July 10.
Trumbull County Assistant Prosecutor Gabe Wildman told 21 News the deadly shooting happened during a gang initiation saying co-defendant 29-year-old Michael Willamson shot Lowery for revenge.
Wildman said Brown delivered the killing shot to Lowery's head.
Williamson, has already been sentenced to 20-to-25 years in prison after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and aggravated robbery.
The jury deliberated for about a half hour on Thursday and resumed at 9:30 a.m. Friday. The verdict was reached around 11:30 a.m.
Brown's Attorney Jeffrey Goodman tells 21 News he does plan on appealing this verdict stating he believes he has a strong case to do so.
"Everything from evidentiary rulings that the court made at the trial regarding various objections and motions that were made to a pretty extensive speedy trial violation motion that was filed just prior to trial. We think those are going to have a significant impact on this case down the road," Goodman said.
