Furniture chain pays $2.6M for Boardman store

The family that already owns two furniture stores in Ohio is paying $2,655,000 for a building that’s been the home to three previous furniture retailers.
According to property records, Ferguson’s Boardman Venture LLC closed a deal last week to purchase the 51,000 square foot commercial space at 300 Boardman Poland Road.
As wfmj.com reported earlier, Ferguson's House of Furniture, which has two locations in Steubenville and St. Clairsville plans to open a store at the Boardman location.
Built in 2003, the building has been home to Goldstein’s Furniture, Levin Furniture and Love’s Mattress stores.
While no official opening date has been set yet, Ferguson says he hopes for the store to open its doors sometime in May and is looking to hire about 25 employees at the new store.
