Jim Tressel will be officially sworn in as Ohio’s 67th Lieutenant Governor Friday in a ceremony in the Statehouse Rotunda. 

The appointment of the former Youngstown State University President, YSU, and Ohio State football coach was approved Wednesday by the Ohio Senate and House.

Governor Mike DeWine selected Tressel to fill the unexpired term of former Lt. Governor Jon Husted who replaced now Vice-President J.D. Vance in the U.S. Senate.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. inside the Ohio Statehouse Rotunda.
