"People in the community are very excited," says St. Patrick Church deacon John Bartos.

And the folks in Hubbard have good reason.
For the first time since the pandemic and a devastating fire, the parish will be hosting a major event in their church - the Lenten fish fry.

"It's a regenerating of our parish community working together on this beautiful project," Bartos said.

And it's a delicious project, too.
The menu features fried, broiled or Italian style haddock, hand-cut fries and an array of tasty sides.

"Literally, if you come throughout the six weeks, you can have a different menu every week," says Bartos.

As you might guess, it takes a lot of planning and staffing to meet the moment.
The logistics are already in full motion.

"We literally have hundreds of volunteers from our parish that are going to help make our fish dinners a huge success," Bartos said.

And they'll be doing it with an extra bit of joy in their hearts.
For all this parish has been through in the last five years, it'll truly be a labor of love.

"Our motto this year is 'thankful to be back', and all of us at St. Patrick's Parish thank God that we're back here."

You can get your fish from St. Pat's through carry out, through their drive-thru window or dine in.
If you eat in, you'll have a full service restaurant experience.

The first fry is March 7 from 4pm to 7pm.
