Emergency crews have been called to Park Harbour Drive off of Sheilds Road in Boardman Township for reports of a crew working in the area striking a natural gas line on Friday. 

Park Harbour Drive is currently closed while Boardman emergency crews and the gas company work to fix the problem.

Boardman dispatch told 21 News that some houses in the area have been evacuated.

According to Enbridge Gas Ohio, a gas line was struck by a third party. Enbridge says the area has been made safe and repairs are now underway. 

Our videographer on the scene says there was a strong smell of natural gas in the area.
