The Kilcawley: Centered on the Future campaign at Youngstown State University received a generous donation from Greg and Alice Greenwood according to an announcement from the University.
The gift is designated to the campaign in part of a total donation of $150,000.
$50,000 of the grant will support the renovation and modernization of the Kilcawley Center on campus.
The renovation aims to create innovative and collaborative spaces for students and encourage an environment of creativity and community.
The Greenwoods also committed $100,000 to support renovations at the Beeghly Center.
This contribution honors Greg Greenwoods longtime administrative assistant Sperry Rongone, naming the "Sperry Rongone Women's Basketball Lounge" in her honor.
The Greenwoods are also being recognized for their support of YSU through two endowments:
- Greg and Alice Greenwood STEM Scholarship Endowment
- Greg and Alice Greenwood Endowment for the Excellence Training Center
"This generous donation will help make Kilcawley Center an even more dynamic and welcoming place for our students, providing them with the spaces they need to thrive both academically and socially," said YSU President Bill Johnson.
