On Wednesday afternoon in Steubenville, Austintown artist Ron Moore Jr. gifted Rosalie Martin's father, Jessel Martin, with a portrait of his four-year-old daughter.

During the presentation, Martin accepted Moore's gift with heartfelt gratitude as he reflected on what made Rosalie so special.

"She was very sweet, very playful, always outgoing. I miss her laugh," Martin said.

On Jan. 22, Rosalie died after being hit with a stray bullet during a police-involved shooting in St. Clair Township as she, her siblings and parents sat in a dental office nearby. Jessel told 21 News that they are all trying to stay strong.

"I have raised my kids to be really strong and they are trying to be tough right now." Martin said.

Martin told 21 News that their family laid Rosalie to rest privately on Tuesday.

Moore battles Parkinson's Disease, but he doesn't let that stop him from his work. He said the hand-drawn sketch took 30 hours to complete.
