For the second time in as many weeks, the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force has shut down another alleged sex-for-cash business masquerading as a massage parlor.
The Task Force and Youngstown Police raided a “spa” at 1760 Belmont Avenue in Youngstown Tuesday, arresting 54-year-old Jingmei Feng on charges of soliciting and offering massages without a license.
Feng was arrested after an undercover agent who went to the spa said she offered him “boom boom” for $150, or another sex act for less.
With the help of a Chinese interpreter, authorities say Feng got into the U.S. through the Mexican border and became a sex-for-hire worker in New York State before reading an ad that said she could make more money by working out of state.
Feng said a van picked her up and drove her from Flushing, New York to Youngstown, where under the name “Sasha” she admitted offering sex for money at the spa.
Feng remained in the county jail awaiting video arraignment in Youngstown Municipal Court on Wednesday.
Just last week, the Task Force and Canfield Police shut down a “Foot Spa” allegedly selling sex acts.
