The identity of the young child who died in a housefire that occurred on Sunday morning at the 20 block of N. Maryland in Youngstown has been confirmed.

Amir Harrison was found in the inflamed home hiding when firefighters went searching. After being transported to St. Elizabeth's, he was pronounced dead.

The mother and five other children who lived in the house survived the fire and were also taken to the hospital to be evaluated. The mother had sustained injuries from jumping off of the back porch.

On Monday, Youngstown Mayor Tito Brown and Fire Chief Barry Finley send their condolences to the family in a news conference.  Finley suspected a space heater to be the cause of the fire.

The State Fire Marshall is still looking into this incident as it remains under investigation.
