Two games for the price of one is a big hit.

That was the case prior to 2018 when the Horizon League would occasionally hold men's and women's basketball doubleheaders.

Since then every game is a stand alone meaning this week fans are coming to the YSU campus three of four days to see games.

'I'd love it," said first year women's coach Melissa Jackson. "From what I heard our administration loves doubleheaders."

Jackson also said she's aware  a lot other schools don't like the twin bills.

But Jackson and men's coach Ethan Faulkner agree the doubleheaders would benefit the fans.

"Obviously, I love it for the fans to be able to come here and watch both teams," said Faulkner.

Jackson says it would definitely help the fan base.

On the other side of the coin, there are cons according to Faulkner.

"Teams have a routine on game day. We're used to playing at a certain time, having our pre-game meal at a certain time and more."

YSU has always been a proponent of league doubleheaders but the league has the final say and right now there's no indication they're going to change.
