Representative Lauren McNally made an announcement Friday evening that she would be serving on The Ohio Democratic Women's Legislative Caucus (ODWLC) leadership team of the 136th General Assembly.

Rep. McNally will be fulfilling the Secretary position on the committee, working alongside other executive members.

The full list of executive members is as follows, including:

  • Chair - Rep. Munira Abdullahi (D-Columbus)
  • Vice Chair - Rep. Beryl Brown Piccolantonio (D-Gahanna)
  • Policy Chair - Rep. Rachel Baker (D-Cincinnati)
  • Secretary - Rep. Lauren McNally (D-Youngstown)
  • Treasurer - Sen. Paula Hicks-Hudson (D-Toledo)

In the announcement, Rep. McNally said," I'm honored to have been elected to the leadership team by my peers, especially at a time where we need solidarity and strength more than ever."

Elections for the positions on the ODWLC committee staff were held Wednesday, January 22.

As Secretary, Rep. McNally will also serve on the Strategic Communications Standing Committee for the caucus.

The mission of the ODWLC is to develop and pass policies that improve the lives of women in Ohio and their families, identify and support emerging women leaders by serving as mentors and educate and empower women.

The 136th Assembly is marked as the first time in history that women will make up half of the Ohio House Democratic Caucus, according to the announcement.
