The Youngstown State men's basketball team breezed by Penn State Shenango 112-63 at the Zidian Family Arena at Beeghly Center.

Ethan Faulkner did not coach in the game after being suspended one game for unsportsmanlike actions towards an official following Wednesday's loss to Robert Morris.

More than 1,000 school kids from around the valley were in attendance

The game was scheduled late after the Penguins opener against Westminster was cancelled due to a power outage.

The Penguins never trailed, leading 62-25 at half and by as many 54 points.

Penn State Shenango is coached by former YSU assistant Mike Wernicki.

The Penguins return to the court Thursday, hosting Wright State.
