PennDOT restores speed on I-80 in Mercer County
As of 8:20 a.m. Friday, the normal speed limit is back in place.
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted a 45-mph speed limit restriction on Interstate 80 from the Ohio state line in Mercer County to Exit 70 (Route 322, Strattanville) in Clarion County.
Speeds were reduced to 45 miles per hour shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday night due to winter weather conditions. As of 8:20 a.m. Friday, the normal speed limit is back in place.
While the speed restriction were in place, commercial vehicles were only allowed to travel in the right lane.
