The Girard School District has less than a month to name a replacement for school board president Diane Alejars.
Thursday night, we learned there are seven names in the running.

Those being considered are James Stacciotti, Zac Steiner, Ana Markle, Zachary Hileman, Joanne Sura, Tammy King and Danny O'Connell.
The board has to name one of them to the position by February 10.

Board members tell 21 News they're pleased to see this much interest in the position. 

Alejars resigned earlier this month, telling 21 News simply "it was time".
The board recognized her years of service with a plaque at Thursday's meeting.

Meanwhile, the board is still waiting on the results of a state auditor's report on former treasurer Mark Bello.
Bello stepped down last summer after a change in contract language caused him to get paid almost $300,000 more than the year prior.
