Penny Pinchers, a consignment shop in Boardman, has been serving the community since 1962. And its mission goes beyond offering great deals, Penny Pinchers is dedicated to supporting local nonprofits. The shop donates a portion of its sales to the Silver Lining Cancer Fund and Dress to Succeed, two organizations that make a meaningful impact in the Valley.

“We accept gently used clothing, and if you choose to donate, 100% of the sale price goes to our charities,” said Lisa Cutlip, Penny Pinchers’ manager. “For consignment items, there’s a 60/40 split, 40% goes to the consigners, and 60% supports our charitable causes, minus our expenses.”

The Silver Lining Cancer Fund provides financial assistance to cancer patients undergoing active chemotherapy or radiation, offering them up to $500 every three months. Meanwhile, Dress for Success helps individuals re-entering the workforce by providing them with business casual attire.
