The coldest morning yet arrives on Wednesday
Record low temperatures are expected across the valley to start Wednesday morning. Temperatures will be well below zero throughout the morning commute under mostly sunny skies. Clouds will start to move in around midday with high temperatures around the 10-degree mark.
Mostly cloudy skies will be around overnight into Thursday morning. A weak area of low pressure moving through the region will bring a round of flurries and snow showers to the area tomorrow afternoon and evening. The snow will not be particularly heavy, but a quick coating could lead to some slick travel Thursday evening.
Any flurries will taper off by Friday morning, and a mix of sun and clouds is expected for the rest of the day. High temperatures will be back in the low 20s to end the work week before jumping towards 30 degrees for the upcoming weekend. Partial sunshine is expected on Saturday with clouds increasing for Sunday. A flurry or two cannot be ruled out as well.
It will not be as cold to start next week, but high temperatures will still struggle to get over the freezing mark on Monday and Tuesday. A mix of sun and clouds is expected on both days with a slight chance for a flurry.
