Crews from Aqua are working to repair leaks that shut off service to some customers in Boardman, Struthers. and Sharon.

According to the utility’s website, the water line break was reported after 6 a.m. Tuesday, causing a temporary loss to as many as 100 homes and buildings along Market Street between McClurg Road and Roche Way.

As a result, the Davis Family YMCA is without water and is closed Tuesday morning.

A representative of Mercy Health tells 21 News that St. Elizabeth Hospital on McClurg Road has water despite the break.

Another leak reported at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Struthers has cut water service to people on Center Street, from Lowellville Road to John Street.

Aqua says it could take 4 to 12 hours to make repairs there, as well as in Sharon where little or no water pressure was reported at 9 a.m. on Baldwin Avenue from Prindle to King Streets.

Aqua says customers may see cloudy water when it is restored. They advise people to run the cold tap for a while.
