A fierce blast of cold air to start the week
We wake up Monday morning with fresh accumulations on our yards and on area roadways thanks to Sunday night lake effect snow.
We won't have to deal with snow much this week, but the cold will cause us problems.
Monday's afternoon temperatures will find their way to around ten degrees with daytime wind chills as cold as ten below zero. Temperatures will fall to slightly below zero Tuesday morning with wind chills as cold as -15.
Tuesday will feature some sunshine with high temperatures around ten degrees and daytime wind chills as cold as ten below zero. Light snow will be possible from the afternoon to early evening. Temperatures Tuesday night into Wednesday morning will be the coldest of the week, and could break a record; expect those temperatures to fall around ten below zero with wind chill as cold as 20 below zero.
Don't worry, it gets better from here.
While Wednesday will remain very cold with high temperatures in the low teens, wind chills will be improved in the afternoon.
Thursday and Friday will feature more clouds than sunshine with high temperatures each day in the mid to upper 20s.
This weekend will feature high temperatures near freezing with snow possible Sunday and Sunday night.
