Detectives are working to find more information about shootings that sent two men to the hospital.

The victims, one of them with a wound to the back, showed up at a hospital late Sunday.

Police are still working to confirm where the shootings occurred and why.   However, the police believe they may have been wounded around East Avondale and Rush Boulevard since the department’s shotspotter system detected gunfire in that area at around 10:30 p.m.

Police don’t believe the victim’s wounds are life-threatening.
