Coldest air of the season arrives in the valley
It has been a very chilly start to 2025, but the upcoming few days will be the coldest we have seen in a couple of years.
High temperatures will reach the mid-20s on Sunday with lake effect snow showers becoming likely during the afternoon and evening. These snow showers could lead to drops in visibility and accumulations of an inch or two in some spots.
Snow showers will taper off overnight as temperatures fall into the single digits with sub-zero wind chills for Monday morning. Cloud cover will decrease tomorrow afternoon, but high temperatures will remain in the single digits.
Temperatures will fall below zero for Tuesday and Wednesday mornings with wind chill values as low as negative 20 degrees. A slight warmup is on the way for the end of the week, with temperatures returning to the mid-20s on Thursday and Friday.
