Juvenile accused of attempting to set Youngstown building on fire after argument over TV remote
A juvenile has been arrested after police say he attempted to set a building on fire after an argument over a TV remote Thursday night.
According to the police report, officers were called tot he building on Eastgate Avenue just after 10 p.m. in reference to a resident trying to set the building on fire.
Police spoke with a staff member in the building who told officers the juvenile suspect got upset when he wasn't allowed to use the TV remote.
Police say the juvenile had put inappropriate material on the TV in the past causing residents to lose the privilege of using the remote.
According to the report, the juvenile suspect went to the administration building and set a piece of paper taped to a door on fire. Police searched the suspect and found a lighter on him.
According to the report, the juvenile was arrested for aggravated arson and taken to the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center.
