Humane agents with Animal Charity of Ohio are looking for answers after a dog was found abandoned near an apartment in Youngstown.

Animal Charity Coordinator Jane MacMurchy tells 21 News a dark blue pickup truck was caught on camera approaching an apartment at Plazaview Court. MacMurchy says the driver put the dog in a cage, put a carpet cover over it and drove away leaving the dog behind.

MacMurchy says the dog, who has since been named Lemon, was cold and underweight, but is expected to be ok. Lemon is in the care of Animal Charity with humane agents monitoring her for any potential adverse symptoms from being left out in the cold.

MacMurchy asks that anyone who recognizes the pickup truck (pictured below) or knows Lemon's owner to email [email protected] with any information they have.
