Boardman contractor sentenced to 180 days in jail on theft charge in Columbiana County
A Boardman contractor who had previously been convicted of theft, will be spending time in jail once again on another theft charge.
According to court records, John Bartos was sentenced to 180 days in the Columbiana County Jail after pleading no contest and being found guilty of one misdemeanor count of theft.
He must also pay a $250 fine and will be placed on probation once he is released.
It is unclear when this theft happened, but this case is separate from a case Bartos had already been convicted in back in 2024 when he did not complete several contracting jobs he was hired to do and did not refund his clients.
Bartos has since paid all victims back in that case.
Prior to this case being filed, the last report on Bartos was filed by the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office in October of 2023. The case was filed in June of 2024.
Bartos had previously been convicted of theft in all three Mahoning Valley counties due to incomplete work. You can reach more about those convictions in the related coverage below.
