Youngstown shooting victim says attackers stole his shoes and cash
Youngstown Police are investigating after a shooting victim told officers he was robbed of cash and his shoes.
Officers spoke to the male as he was being treated for a gunshot wound to the thigh at St. Elizabeth Hospital Wednesday night.
The victim told police he was confronted near the Arlington Heights basketball courts by two males, one of whom pulled a gun and demanded his valuables.
A fight began and one of the assailants fired a shot, missing the victim who then began to run.
A second shot hit the victim’s leg.
The victim told officers that the robbers took a grill and $300 from his pocket, as well as his red Balenciaga shoes, which can sell for hundreds of dollars.
The victim, who says a passerby took him to the hospital, was listed in stable condition. Police have descriptions of the attackers.
