The Hubbard City Water Department announced on Wednesday that crews are working to repair several water main breaks throughout the city caused by recent cold weather.

Areas affected include Burdie Drive, Saul Drive, Fairchild Drive, Grandview Avenue, and Center Street. However, the department says only a small number of homes on each street are likely to be impacted.

Residents may experience temporary issues such as sputtering or discolored water due to the repairs. The water department advises affected residents to run their water for a few minutes to clear discolored water from the lines.

 While boiling water before use is an option, it is not mandatory.

The water department will leave a card on the doors of any homes that require further attention.
