The Youngstown State women's basketball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a win over Northern Kentucky Wednesday.

The Penguins outlasted the Norse 75-66 at Zidian Family Arena.

Youngstown State held the lead for over 36 minutes of the contest. They shot 44% from the field.

Jewel Watkins led the Penguins with 21 points, while Malia Magestro and Sophia Gregory each added 15.

Kalissa Lacy paced the Norse with 19, while Mya Meredith had 15.

The Penguins improve to 8-10 overall, 3-5 in conference. They host Robert Morris Saturday at 2 p.m.
