Bazetta man pleads guilty in road rage case
A Bazetta Township man charged in a road rage case from February of 2024 pled guilty Wednesday afternoon.
Brett Budd pled guilty to two amended counts of assault, a first degree misdemeanor, as well as one count of discharging a firearm on or near a prohibited premise, which is a third degree felony.
Budd will be sentenced following the completion of a pre-sentencing investigation.
Budd had been scheduled to go on trial Monday, but instead entered into a plea agreement
Budd was originally charged in connection with an incident in February of 2024 when police said a pickup truck driven by Budd drove away after rear-ending another vehicle in Howland.
Police said the driver followed the truck to a home on McCreary Jacoby Road in Bazetta and got out of the car. That's when Budd pulled out a gun.
The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand
