The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is reducing speed on several interstates due to ongoing winter weather in the region.

A 45-mph speed restriction is now in place for the following roadways in Pennsylvania:

  • Interstate 80 from the Ohio state line to Exit 45 (Route 478, St. Petersburg/Emlenton).
  • Interstate 79 from I-80 interchange to the ending point in the City of Erie.
  • Interstate 90 from the Ohio state line to the New York state line.
  • Interstate 86 from the New York state line to the I-90 interchange.

While the speed restrictions are in place, commercial vehicles are limited to travel in the right lane only in the Commonwealth.
